Sway with font size 12 (everything is in what appears to be font size 15):.i3 with font size 12 and DPI correctly set to 72 (pretty much what I want):.For example, as seen in screenshots below, swaybar puts 2 pixel wide separators between fields in the status input, while i3bar puts 1 pixel wide ones, which as far as I know is due to DPI. I could also try telling Xft and Pango my DPI separately using their own configuration methods, but that doesn't change UI scaling for everything else.

And even the titlebars for windows, which seem to scale sharply with this, still seem to mess up and produce weird font spacing. I know that there is output * scale 0.8 setting I can do to get the font size to match, but it seems to scale most things as if they were images instead of actual UI scaling (even sway bar itself - I thought it's supposed to support that?), causing all kinds of blotchy ugly blurriness which looks way worse than setting font size to sway's 9. Most but not all of these applications are run under XWayland, so I don't think it would be sufficient to tell XWayland to report to them a specific DPI even if that is possible. I could settle with setting font size 9 for Sway itself, but then I'd have to go around every single other program I use and set font size for all of them - it would be nice if I wouldn't have to do that. I can't seem to find any DPI setting for Sway. With i3/XOrg, it was as simple as copying /etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc to ~/.xserverrc and then adding -dpi 72 in there, and all applications functioned normally. As a result, in the config, setting font size of "12" gives me what looks like font size "15", and I have to set font size "9" to get font size "12". From what I see, Sway assumes it to be something higher than that.

Through the forum, I've located issues like applications opening in the middle of the screen, or wallpaper expanding and so forth, but couldn't see anything close to this one.My monitor's DPI is 72. Tested with any application (notepad, crystal reports, our erp)ĭual monitor works fine on my end (and many other people), with laptops and normal monitors (in the customer's end it doesn't work), so I was wondering if this could be caused due to a hardware compatibility issue, although in the old environment it was working fine with the previous version of (i do not recall which version was it). Changed the Resolution for publishing for each of the applications Change Resolution with multiple combinations When using Seamless mode, it does work, but all applications within the ERP opens in the same small window therefore is not useful for them. One of my customers Cannot use dual monitor, since every time they move one application from one monitor to another it only shows half of the application and some garbage display. I've been looking for many resources now, and we are running out of ideas.
